An injectable cosmetic treatment that makes a dramatic difference in the appearance of moderate to severe dynamic wrinkles — the wrinkles you cannot avoid with various facial expressions. When a neuromodulator is injected into specific facial muscles responsible for expression, the muscles are able to relax and not contract as deeply which leads to softening of the dynamic wrinkles. It can also be done for preventive care to avoid developing or deepening wrinkles. The amount injected can range from softening expressions to inhibiting expressions, depending on patient preference. We tend to treat conservatively to allow for continued facial expressions but work with our clients to achieve their desired goals. Treatment results last approximately 3-4 months.We also use neuromodulators to the region of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) to help alleviate teeth grinding (bruxism) or for facial slimming.

Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane and Revanesse temporarily add volume and fullness to smooth wrinkles and plump the skin. Over time, filler can migrate to adjacent areas or build up with repeated treatments. Dermal filler removal becomes a consideration when the outcome is unsatisfactory and the patient wishes to reverse the effects. Fortunately, filler removal is relatively straightforward for hyaluronic acid fillers; they are dissolved using hyaluronidase, an enzyme that breaks down the filler to quickly reverse the effects. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with injections of an enzyme called hyaluronidase. A numbing agent is first applied and once injected, it immediately begins to dissolve hyaluronic acid’s molecular bonds. This action continues over the course of 24–48 hours, depending on the quantity and depth of the filler, as well as the concentration.
